Doug McCarthy
New Product Development Manager
Doug has been with Wells Concrete for 31 years and is currently the New Product Development Manager. His team is responsible for developing a pipeline of products or services that remove inefficiencies in the building market as well as think outside the box and develop solutions that deliver a better mousetrap than the industry is currently aware of.
He was a Plant Superintendent for nine years and has spent time in both Hawaii and Guam production facilities that are now in operation under separate companies. Doug has played a significant role in developing our current Field Safety Program, which has become a model for other precasters around the nation. He played a significant role in managing grout repairs in 2016, and his leadership in Field Safety guided Wells Concrete in the development of our new grouting procedures, documentation and traceability.
Doug has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Colorado State University. He is also a PCI Certified Field Auditor and earned a Quality Control Personnel Certification from the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) – Levels, I, II and III.
