Root Cause(s) | The router appears to be in operation. 1 - Ensure who ever is operating this device understands how to properly install the route bit. When the unit was in Valders the bit came loose and struck an employee across his face. 2 - The machine and room did not appear to be in use at the time, wood dust was strewn about the router table and floor. 3- The dust collection system does not appear to more than a home collection system, these typically do not offer spark arrest. |
Status | Needs Attention |
Corrective Action | 1. - Educate the operator(s) on proper and safe bit installation. 2 - Ensure the router machine and area around the router are cleaned up thoroughly following use. 3 - Verify the dust collection system offers spark arresting measures. IF not considering investing in an add-on system. If you need help with this please call me. |
